Good friend Nancy and I pre-lunch, 8/2/2009
In the interest of site brevity, I have moved my previous market comments here.

To all my friends and site visitors:

My sight has finally degraded to the point that I can no longer navigate web pages, so my ability to post to my personal website will be limited to occasions where I can persuade my son to give me a hand.

I have an appointment with a retina specialist on
November 25th, and with luck he will find that
retina surgery will be some help in sustaining my
sight for as long as possible.  I am hopeful that I
will have more news on this possibility the day of
my appointment.

Anyway, it is becoming increasingly difficult even
to do normal day to day things, such as dialing a
phone, cooking a steak, or even spotting my white
dog on our beige flooring.  I'm not sure how people
who are blind from birth accomplish anything in
life, and now that I know what he had to face, my
respect for Ray Charles and his accomplishments
has gone through the roof.

Anyway, my friends can still try to email me by
clicking on the mailbox above and sending messages,
but I don't know how long I will be able to handle
email communications, either.  If you make an
attempt to contact me and do not receive  a response, please do not feel offended.  All it means is that such communication is now beyond my grasp.  I'm sorry.

For my closest friends, I can still be reached by phone, but I don't want to publish my number on the Internet.  Please email my son James at gumshoe218@aol.com, and he will send  the number on to you so you will be able to reach me by phone.

Lastly, I don't know when and if I will be able to update
this site again, so to all my visitors, I hope you have a joyous
Thanksgiving Holiday with your family and friends, and I
extend best wishes to you for the yearend Holiday cele-
brations.

Happy New Year to all!!!

Important!!!    (July 11, 2010)

I am finally incapable of reading the Internet and my
emails.  To get in touch with me email my son James
at   gumshoe218@aol.com.

Please tell him who you are, how you know me, and at
what phone numbers you can be reached.  Return calls
will be haphazard because I can not yet use the phone to make such calls on my own.  Sorry for the inconvenience!!

I'm sorry, but I can no longer read text, so I am incapable of processing emails and maintaining correspondence with my friends and former business associates.

Close friends can reach me by calling the house after 9 PM.  If you do not have the phone number, feel free to contact my son James via the icon mailbox near the center top of this web page.  He will give me the message and I promise to get in touch with you.

Thank you!!

A special wish for all my friends and site visitors:

May you have a wonderful holiday season, with much festive celebration in the company of family and good friends. And, may next year bring you good health, much happiness, financial security, and much joy both on the way to work and as you return home.

Lastly, to Al and Tony, may the market treat you well, and may all your decisions be easy and profitable!

Please send my holiday wishes to Alexandra, Marc, in Jane!

To my family, friends, and frequent visitors…

I am leaving Wednesday, March 16th, to visit some close friends out in Las Vegas.
I've been looking forward to this vacation for a long time.  While away I will not have access to a computer or my e-mails, so this will really be a vacation. I'll be back at the same old, same old on my 63rd birthday, March 30th.  Until then, please stay out of trouble!

Michael

in memoriam:

Nancy Crown
March 27, 1955 – April 5, 2012

Nancy lost her 12 year battle with breast cancer yesterday. She was a lovely and lovable woman, courageous to the and. I loved her  very much and she will remain in my heart for all the rest of my days.

Goodbye, darling Nancy. May you rest in peace.
